About the role
We're looking for a Marketing Attribution Expert to own and evolve our attribution models and tracking pipeline. In this hybrid role, you’ll combine your expertise in digital marketing and analytics to unravel the user journey from first ad impression to conversion, even as privacy restrictions and technical barriers grow. What you’ll do
- Build & Refine Attribution Models: Design and improve Klar’s marketing attribution frameworks – from simple first/last-click models to advanced multi-touch and data-driven approaches. You’ll experiment with techniques like marketing mix modeling (MMM) and multi-touch attribution to accurately credit each channel’s contribution.
- Own Tracking End-to-End: Oversee our tracking pipelines across web and mobile to capture the full user journey. Ensure every click, view, and conversion is properly recorded – whether via cookie-based tracking, server-side tagging, UTM parameters, or postback APIs. When browsers and devices block tracking, you’ll devise creative server-side or first-party solutions to keep insight flowing.
- Analyze & Optimize: Dive deep into user behavior data using SQL and Python to unearth patterns and attribution insights. Using analytics platforms you’ll transform raw data into actionable recommendations – e.g. which campaigns drive high-LTV users versus one-time shoppers. Your insights will guide budget allocation and campaign optimization in real time.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Data Engineering teams to implement tracking requirements and validate data quality. You’ll be the go-to domain expert on attribution, educating team members on best practices and new techniques. You’ll also stay up-to-date with industry trends (like evolving privacy laws or attribution tools) and continuously test innovative approaches to keep Klar ahead of the curve.
What we’re looking for
- Experience & Expertise: 4+ years in digital marketing analytics, marketing science, or a related field, with a strong focus on tracking and attribution. You’ve been in the weeds of marketing data and can talk confidently about attribution wins and challenges you’ve tackled.
- Analytics Tools Mastery: Proven hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and major ad platforms (Facebook/Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, etc.). You know how to configure tracking in these platforms and interpret their attribution reports. Bonus if you’ve worked with mobile measurement partners or other tracking tools.
